Happy 3rd Birthday Kylie! I'm so sorry you got diareahea on your birthday!:(
We still had a great party today! It was cold out but we put our coats and sneakers on and played outside for a couple hours! Then we came inside and opened presents! You got some new toys and school supplies, including your backpack, pencil case, and notebooks! You also got some crayons and colored pencils! You haven't had a daytime accident for about 2 weeks! We met your teachers and they were so surprised! I wrote this letter for you to read tomorrow at school:
Dear Kylie,
You're a big 3 year old now! We've had such a great time with you! I remember when we found out I was pregnant, then a few weeks later I would be having twin girls! A few months later you and your twin sister, Danielle, were born! I remember your first cries then your first smiles, you were such a happy little baby! Before we knew it, you were cooing and then laughing! Around that time, you tried your first foods! It was messy at first, but you've gotten much better now! Watching you learn to roll front to back then back to front was amazing! A short while later, you learned to army crawl, then hands and knees crawl! You were cruising and walking with assistance before your 1st birthday! You took your first steps on your birthday! We captured all your milestones on video and wrote them down in your baby book! Your 2nd birthday came before we knew it! You didn't throw many tantrums or fits, not to much terrible 2's! You learned some table manners and how to eat without making much mess. Potty training is your most recent milestone! You've done so great and we hope you continue to do well at school! Your teachers will help you and hopefully, you'll be night time trained soon! Happy 2nd Birthday Ryan! You did really great at your photo session this morning! You really liked eating lunch outside and then playing on the swingset. Then you and Michael played with some balls, kicking them around. You were upset when I told you it was going to rain and we had to go inside. But you were getting sleepy, so we put you down for a nap. Later, we'll open your presents and have cake and ice cream! We can tell how excited you are to open them! We're so glad you're having a great birthday!

Happy 2nd Birthday Michael! We had your photo session this morning! You were very good and really cute! After your photo session, we had lunch outside! Happy 6 months Alyssa! You girls look soo adorable in your "Bunny" outfits! Purple is a good color for you Alyssa! You've also started eating rice cereal and 1st foods. You seem to feel the same as Aubrey does about prunes and peas. It's so funny to see your disgusted faces when we feed you them! I hope you like them better as a 2nd food where they'll be mixed with another fruit or veggie. You army crawl all the time now! It's so cute watching you get from one place to another during playtime! We think you're teething too. You're drooling more and can be a bit fussy. We can't feel any teeth coming through yet, so we'll just have to wait a little while.

Aubrey and Alyssa are already 6 months old! You were really good during your photo session today! All the pictures turned out so cute, it was hard to decide which ones we wanted to order! You've started eating rice cereal and 1st foods! You've liked everything so far except peas and prunes. We'll try them once more in a couple days, it's ok if you don't like them. Maybe you'll like them as a 2nd food where it's mixed with other fruits or veggies. You can army crawl now! It's so cute watching you move around during playtime! We think you're teething, you've been drooling more lately and sometimes are a bit fussy! We keep checking to see if we can feel a tooth, but so far, we can't feel anything. We'll just have to wait a little bit.

Aubrey was born 3 minutes after Alyssa! She weighed 6.1 lbs and was 18.6 inches long. Shortly after bring her home to meet her brothers and sisters, she spit up what seemed like most of her last bottle. We called the hospital and were told to bring you back as soon as we could. We met with one of the doctors who helped deliver you! First, he weighed you. You had lost a few ounces, which is normal after getting sick. Then he took your temperature. It was a little high, but nothing to be too concerned about. Next, he checked your heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse. Everything was good there. He explained that it seemed like you had reflux and would have to stay in the Special Care Nursery to be mointered for a few hours. We stayed in a room across the hall. After your 2nd bottle, you spit up again, so we found another doctor, who knew your condition. He came in and noticed the soiled burp cloth. He told us that you had a moderate case of reflux and should stay overnight. The next morning, you were still spitting up a little, but you were too little to take any medicine. The doctors discharged us in the afternoon. A couple days later you weren't spitting up as much, but we noticed you weren't wetting diapers as frequently. We called the hospital and they wanted to see you again. We met with the same doctor again! He did the same routine as last time. Everything seemed normal. After explaining your symptoms again, he said you might have a bladder infection. You had to stay in the Special Care Nursery again for a few hours. The doctors needed a sample to confirm the diagnosis and to offer you a little more formula. I made a 4 oz bottle, which is about an oz more than you usually ate. To our surprise, you drank almost 3.5 oz of it! About 2 hours later, we heard you crying from our room. I tried offering you another bottle, but you didn't want it, so I checked to see if you needed changed, but you weren't really wet either. So we found a doctor. You were crying loudly. I mentioned that maybe you weren't finished. So, he put a cup under you, which you went in! During your next bottle, the doctor came back and confirmed that you had a mild bladder infecton. There wasn't much we could do about it, you were too young still to take anything, so we had to let it run its course. We were discharged the next afternoon and the infection was gone a couple days later. We were happy to hear that you had gained some weight at your 1 month check-up. You just got over a mild case of lice. We're so happy your finally better now! I think you are too! You smiled for the first time right after I told you the lice were gone!
